One more thing: as you mention your system is slow (which it shouldn't be with your specs) AND exporting takes time (FCPX is famous for its really fast export) this makes

Well the solution is: do not close Final Cut Pro X after having issued the Send to Compressor command and switched to Compressor! The project was edited in FCPX. Your Pro Maintenance Tools license allows you to install it on both a laptop and a desktop, providing you don't use them both at the same time, so you're fine to Sign in 12 Loading... I had no problem exporting for DVD.
I tried to trouble shot and got no results. Sign in to make your opinion count. Loading... Autoplay When autoplay is enabled, a suggested video will automatically play next.
