Install Python Numeric Ubuntu
FixEdit The way to fix this is to install python-numeric. And can be found in the site-packages/numpy/f2py directory. If you have an idea how to remove then please share it. Also, the fact that this code is in /usr/local/aria/aria2.0, which is not in the default sys.path, means something along the way is doing something to sys.path, and maybe it did it

- I only downloaded and installed f2py from the mentioned source in the above which gave me the error with numeric.

You can move it, symlink it, or use sys.path.append to append it's directory so Python knows where to look. Once again a search is necessary to tell you where it is.
Add the lines import sys print sys.path just before the "from Numeric import ..." line. Anyone know how to correctly install and use this package?
