I've also posted on the Ruby forum, since Apha Blue's earlier post. I used the zip version 1.1.0 for this installation. Many thanks - worked on Vista. I have tried everything shown to install sqlite3 but it simply doesn't not work as I always get the following message "no definition for _wrap...".

It's been a while so I've forgotten the actual steps I took, but I think if you try to install everything separately too you'll have better luck. Why was this HP character supposedly killed like this? no checking for sqlite3.h... I think it comes down to just developing on the type of system you will be go to production on.
